YOUR TRAINER (AKA, Lead Climber)

Mike Slaughter, Pastor Emeritus & Global Church Ambassador of Ginghamsburg Church

Mike Slaughter, pastor emeritus and global church ambassador for Ginghamsburg Church, served for nearly four decades as the lead pastor and chief dreamer of Ginghamsburg and the spiritual entrepreneur of ministry marketplace innovations. Mike is also the founder and chief strategist of Passionate Churches, LLC, which specializes in developing pastors, church staff and church lay leaders through coaching, training, consulting and facilitation services. His lifelong passion to reach the lost and set the oppressed free grew a church of 90 to a multi-campus church movement that has birthed three 501c3 non-profits, serving over 60,000 neighbors each year through life development, spiritual counseling and material assistance ministries. Mike is also an in-demand speaker, using his “gift of irritation” to equip ministry leaders for fully deploying the mission of Jesus into the world. Mike is the author of 18 books.

Karen Perry Smith, MBA, Ginghamsburg Senior Executive Director & Missional Strategist

Karen Perry Smith is the lead facilitator for Passionate Churches and also serves with the Ginghamsburg Church Lead Executive Team as that team’s coordinator to ensure strategic goal planning and tracking, appropriate HR/staffing practices and organizational development, and effective workplace processes. Karen also leads the teams responsible for leadership development, adult discipleship and local-to-global missions. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the church’s three affiliated 501c3 non-profit partnerships, global resources and conferences. Before joining the Ginghamsburg staff in 2002, Karen served for 16 years with a large information technology company in training, communications, staff leadership and project management roles. She holds an MBA in Marketing.

REGISTRATION

Cost per person: $1000

Note: Registration includes all training and materials, tour transportation between Ginghamsburg campuses and missional outposts (only), daily continental breakfast and lunches, designated dinners. Hotel, air travel and ground transportation to and from hotel/airport/training site not included. A refund may be obtained in full up to one week in advance. In the final 7 days, a $100 fee will be retained to cover some portion of prepaid expenses.
